Wishlists always go hand in hand with a new home. We still haven't moved the stuff from Denmark to England yet, but no matter what we still need to buy new things to fill up the space. The sofa we have are so comfy, but with Matt's long legs, it would be nice to have a pouffe/footstool so we could lay down and watch endless series. The armchair I have been dreaming of for a bit and it is actually really cheap for a designer chair and this will be perfect in the space around the sofa tables, where the floor is empty.
On the pillar close to the windows we need more storage space, so to have 8 of the wire cubes would be the dream! The wire light has been on my wishlist for ages and the high ceilings in the apartment really is perfect for this one!

I am always on the look for new jewellery, some to replace the things I have grown tired of and other just to add to my growing collection.

I have been a bit tired of one of my rings for a while and have been searching everywhere for a new one. Normally I find my rings at antiques and charity shops and this new ring was no exception. I found the folded sterling silver ring at a local flea market. The lady was super weird and the ring was a bit broken, so I got it for almost nothing. The pendant is made by the amazing Lea Hoyer and the texture made from moulding silver in water is amazing. I am very inspired by it!

Also, I have a new hairstyle, Zofia my friend who has been on holiday at my parent's house, cut my hair in the bathroom. I am really loving it and for the first time in so long, I am wearing my hair down now. Such a nice summer style!

In late may I moved from my university halls in Kingston, to a studio flat in Wimbledon with Matt. We finally back together, after many months apart, in our own space in South West London.
The apartment has evening sun, floor too ceiling windows and is located on the 5th floor. When we look out we can see industrial buildings right outside, over the hills there are cute English semidetached houses and when we stick our heads out of the windows and look to the right we can see the London skyline in miniature.

The apartment is ours as long as we want and has been furnished already, but with me being as picky as I am, I have put most a lot of the furniture down in our storage room (thank god for us having that) and bought some new things.
We have underfloor heating, which we question whether we will ever use since the apartment is so hot. The floors are solid dark wood and the ceilings are 4 meters tall and made of concrete.

We have a breakfast bar which is the centre of the apartment, it is where everyone gathers when we cook and make cocktails. The bed is raised 2 meters and underneath is loads of storage space, you can see even further over the landscape from up there. The bathroom is white and we have a rainfall shower which is big enough for two.

We made a deal once, me and Matt, that we would always upgrade our living space. That every time we would move the new apartment would be better than the other. This is all we dream of right now. We are so happy here and we are together again!

First, I would like to start with a little apology. I haven't been active on the blog for a while. Life goes on and it goes quick, and my main priority has been on my health and my mind these past couples of months. Oh and also on university work.

What I wanted to share with you is the new launch of the website. I now have a portfolio that I am proud to show, so I have decided to showcase them on the site, and then have my blog as a part of this. And also share the printed portfolio with you!

The site stays the same. I have used the wordplay on my name to create my company name. SIS.L as people find it hard to pronounce my name. The logo is made to be read from all directions which makes it easy to place on products and furniture as well.

I hope you like the new look of the site and please do look around the whole site to see my products.

Only 5 days into this year the first major thing happened. I have been following the beautiful artist @qualasiki on instagram for a while and have fallen in love with her drawings and hand poke tattoos. I had told her whenever she would come to either Copenhagen or London she should hit me up so I could get one of her lines on me and only after 3 months she travelled all the way from Toronto to Iceland and then to Copenhagen! We ended up having a 3-hour tattoo session on the living room floor, surrounded by tea, pillows, duvets and good music. It was almost magical! We were talking non-stop and she ended up persuading me to start hand-poking myself and gave me a small tattoo kit when she left. When Matt came home from work I told him about it and that we could only use the ink today otherwise it would dry out. After hours of thinking and a fair few cocktails I ended up tattooing myself to see if I could, and after a happy outcome, Matt and I started drawing his tattoo. with this being Matt's first tattoo he kept changing his mind, but I did persuade him in the end. So at 2.30am, we both had one more tattoo. I know you aren’t supposed to have alcohol in your blood, but this was an exception and it turned out really really well!

This tattoo has been on my mind for a long time, both the placement as well as the motive. The plant that grows out of the frame symbolises and reminds me of growing out of the box I have, others have and society has put me in. The placement is very eye-catching and also on a place on my arm that I don’t particularly like. So it also makes me love my arms more since it is beautifully decorated with this now!

The two lines were the first thing that came to my mind when I needed to practice before tattooing Matt. I like simplicity in everything, also my tattoos. Lines are perfectly simple.

Matt’s tattoo is an abstract drawing of the side of a woman, he wanted something not too in your face and very simple. It was so nice to have this bonding experience doing something for the first time and giving Matt his first tattoo as well.

I liked it so much that I have decided to start hand-poking as a hobby and have already invested in everything to start poking. I have set up an instagram so I can show all the tattoos. go to @tinyhandspoke
