A couple of months ago I was introduced to the netflix documentary series “COOKED”. To me it was just you know the “I might as well watch that” series. And as I began watching it I fell more and more in love and was so intrigued to watch and learn more!

This documentary is both beautiful and super educational. And has given me an even bigger interest in cooking than before. Cooking up something from scratch and the respect and time you really give into cooking, is admirable and it is really something we should all start doing again. Obviously this is exactly what this whole documentary is about, just add in some amazing videographic skills and facts and there you have it!

It starts of with Michael Pollan talking about the specific subject. The subjects through out the series is earth, wind, water and fire, so the four elements and how we throughout time have cooked with them.

Michael Pollan, is a food writer and has in his time of making this documentary learned to cook even more than before. So at the end of the programme, the view is back on to Michael cooking something.

As netflix says it beautifully: Explored through the lenses of the four natural elements – fire, water, air and earth – COOKED is an enlightening and compelling look at the evolution of what food means to us through the history of food preparation and its universal ability to connect us!
